How to Use (Indian Recipes)
- Mushroom Masala: Soak mushrooms in warm water for 15–20 minutes until they are soft, then cook in onion-tomato gravy for an Indian-style mushroom masala.
- Mushroom Biryani: Prepare biryani masala and slice soaked mushrooms. Saute the mushrooms in biryani masala and then add biryani rice and water and cook the mixture over medium flame.
- Mushroom Pulao: Soak and chop mushrooms, saute garam masala, add chopped onions, green chillies, 1 medium-sized chopped potatoes, green peas, and other veggies, Saute all the mixture and then add chopped mushroom and soaked rice. Add 1 cup of thick coconut milk and cook for 9-10 minutes in the cooker.
- Mushroom Bhurji: Chop soaked mushrooms and sauté with onion, tomato, and spices. Rinse mushrooms and chop them in tiny pieces. Saute cumin seeds, chopped onions, green chillies, and ginger-garlic paste. Cook for 5-7 minutes by adding chopped tomatoes. Add spices and chopped mushroom and stir-fry on high heat until the mushrooms are tender.
- Mushroom Pakora: Mix sliced mushrooms with besan, rice flour, chilli powder, garlic paste, coriander, and spices. Add 1 cup of water to form a thick batter. Fry the batter in hot oil until it turns golden.
- Mushroom Curry (South Indian Style): Saute mustard seeds, ginger-garlic paste, chopped onions, tomatoes, and curry leaves until soft and squishy. Add sliced mushrooms, coriander powder, chilli powder, fennel powder, turmeric, and garam masala. Cook the mixture with water or coconut milk until thick. Add coriander leaves for a finishing touch.
